Swim Week: Miami 2014

Running around Collins in heels from event to event is not easy let me tell you. Yesterday I attended Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Swim Escape Miami event,  as i do every year. Swim week is your regular fashion week madness with less clothing or swim wear. The vibe at these events are always very laid back, cool kid chillin, no care attitude but for me I take this time of year serious,  reason being this is the only time of year Miami Bloggers get the chance to showcase to the world our street style and inspirations, not to mention network with all of your fellow fashion bloggers. I always take the time out to thank our bloggers for their hard work representing Miami/girls/bloggers/artist is such a good way.

Over the weekend I spent time with my cousins from Cali. Leli (19) and Wilbert (14) are both aspiring actors with so much dedication, I love them tons. Leli was in need of new head shots so I decided to style her shoot on Saturday. We chose to shoot in Downtown Miami area near Bayside.

Crème brûlée w/ lemon + cinnamon

This recipe has all the classic creme brulee ingredients  vanilla bean,heavy cream, and egg yolk but with a pinch of cinnamon and bit of lemon rind. I feel the lemon brightens up the custard and cinnamon adds a little warmth.

Wine box Arrangement

On Wednesday May 14th my all time dearest friend +Kara Leigh turned twenty three and aside from being my bestest friend EVER! This girl finds the time to be a craft wiz, wedding designer, event planner and D.I.Y expert, basically all things creative. Clearly for +Kara Leigh's birthday present anything but hand-made or D.I.Yed would be an insult! ( because girls are dramatic ) D.IY. or die basically. I knew her favorite flower is the peony so I said forget the Edible Arrangements and 1800 Flowers break out the hot glue gun. A Twist on Monochromatic

I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with such creative beings this past weekend. +Brittney Rae is a local Photographer here in Miami but don't let the "fun in the sun" "cutesy" Miami Girl label  fool you this lavish photographer has a complex taste and even more elaborate eye for high fashion. We came together for this shoot with one thing is mind Vogue and I think we nailed it. The gorgeous and talented model is Caroline Munson, her energy and vibe while shooting was out of this world. Caroline was a complete delight to work with.
